In the Works

With the main work on the web series drawing to a close, two new short films are again getting their due attention, one of each of my main styles (quirky mixed-media animation and more meditative pure animation with music).
The quirky comedy is (at present) called "The Seamless Cup Society", dealing with strange arcane mathematical discoveries by a group of women. The other, "Joyfully", will be a celebration of dance, gesture and movement set to music from Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #6. It's the first time I've worked on two such different projects at the same time - it has proven to be a good situation so far, cleaning my brain when switching between projects throughout the day and seeing the completed footage with refreshed eyes. It often happens that one can get too nearsighted when immersed in one project and not see the big picture - sometimes, not always. We'll see how it goes. I can always switch my focus to one single film through to completion if I find it works better that way. The beauty of working for myself and for the joy of it is that I don't have any clad-in-stone deadlines and no one is looking over my shoulder!
