Shakespeare and Shopping

What? The two are mutually exclusive, you say? On the contrary; at least not in my world!

My latest film, "Fine Knacks for Playwrights", explores the sources of inspiration in a quite wacky and off-the-wall way. I worked with a great British actor, Alex Phelps (see his fiverr page here), on this one and his characterizations are spot-on. Will Shakespeare needs to replace a stage dagger before that evening's performance so he heads to the local "Proppe Shoppe", owned by none other than his old friend Ham. As we all know, on any shopping trip one ends up with far more than one initially set off to acquire; Will's experience is no different. I will eventually publish a guide to all of the Shakespearean references in the film (with a spoiler alert, of course!), but for now see how many you can spot when the Vimeo link is published here....and watch out for that flower!

*** a link to the film on Vimeo will be forthcoming, but for now, enjoy the following:
